This full time exempt position assists the Accounting Director in all the activities of the accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including but not limited to internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and budgets; reconciles fund revenues, expenditures and receivables; reports grant financial activity to funding agency; records internal service billings and collections and prepares special reports and year-end reconciliation worksheets.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in a government; five years demonstrated experience in financial grant compliance; tribal accounting experience preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and tax law applicable to governmental entities; understanding of grant administration; banking and computerized governmental accounting systems.
Wage: Exempt 3 and/or dependent upon qualifications.
