Department/Program: Hannahville Indian SchoolDescription:
This full time position provides general outpatient mental health counseling treatment to children ages birth to 8 years old in a school setting. This position assists teaching staff by providing them with insights and techniques to manage challenging social/emotional behavior in their classrooms. Seeks to include parents, family and staff in each case as needed. Individual case planning, education, case management, referral and crisis intervention. Must consistently demonstrate discretion, independent judgment and ethical behavior.Qualifications:
Masters’ degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work and from an accredited program. Appropriate licensure. Valid driver’s license with no restrictions. Two years’ experience in assessment, counseling and crisis intervention desired. Knowledge of children and adolescent mental health issues and Native American culture preferred.
