Special Revenue Accountant

Department/Program: Hannahville Indian Community


One full time position responsible for reconciling fund revenues, expenditures and receivables; reporting grant financial activity to funding agency; recording internal service billings and collections; and preparing special reports and year-end reconciliation worksheets.


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 2 years accounting experience required and grant administration experience preferred; working knowledge of A-87 Cost Principals, General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Accounting Standards Board publications (GASB), Financial Accounting Standards Board Publications (FASB) and applicable grant and contract law.  A working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles applicable to governmental entities is required. Basic understanding of grant administration is required. General computer skills and a demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet applications is required.  Ability to work independently in prioritizing, organizing and meeting deadlines; computational and analytical ability; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, co-workers and the general public.

Wage: E2 but negotiable dependent upon qualifications
