Description:

2-3 SUBSTITUTE YOUTH SERVICES ASSISTANTS: These part time positions will supervise and interact with youth on a daily basis as they utilize the Youth Center and participate in activities. This position will assist Coordinators in the development, implementation, coordination and supervision of academic and recreational activities. This position requires direct interaction with children in grades K – 12, parents and community members.

Qualifications:

In accordance with “Every Student Succeeds Act” ESSA, Associates degree or at least 60 hours of college credit. Experience facilitating activities for children ages 7 – 19 yrs and their families. Knowledge of current youth interests and trends. Basic computer knowledge-Windows, Excel, Internet, email, etc. Ability to problem solve regarding youth behavior issues; to handle multiple tasks at one time in a stressful environment; to talk to kids about issues and concerns; must be a good role model at work and within the community. Must be able to pass a background check.

Wage: $10.00 an hour
